In Texas and across the nation, systemic inequities have made it difficult for Black and Brown families to build and sustain wealth. We’re committed to changing that by providing the resources, mentorship, and education necessary for these communities to thrive. Through our programs, students gain the knowledge and confidence to navigate their financial futures, secure opportunities for higher education, and create wealth that can be passed down for generations.
BACK AT ZERO PROGRAMS
Shake the Bank Course
Shake The Bank Financial Literacy Course is a virtual, 8-week curriculum-based course. Weekly sessions are 45-60 minutes. This program is ideal for middle school, high school, and college students.
Shake the Bank workshop
During this in-person Workshop led by BAZ Founder, Branden Thompson, lessons on financial literacy will be taught to a live audience of middle school, high school, or college students.
RESOURCES
Digital Currency Trading Program
This is a free community where experienced traders commit to virtual training. Members will gain access to modules that include videos and information on the basics of FOREX trading and mastering how to trade on your own. Members must be 11 years and older to join.
Back at Zero is proud to offer free resources, educational communities, and scholarships to college students. To date, BAZ has raised over $50,000 in scholarships and has partnered with organizations such as Schooly.
Our Commitment to Community
BAZ Scholarship Program
Our annual micro-grants are distributed at $1K each to students in STEM, Arts, Music, and Business/Entrepreneurship. This scholarship is for students preparing to begin college or are currently enrolled in college. To date, BAZ has raised over $50,000 in scholarships for college students.

Back at Zero is more than a financial education service—it’s a movement. A movement to empower, uplift, and inspire the next generation of Black and Brown leaders. To date, Back at Zero has awarded $50,000 in scholarships to students at Prairie View A&M University, Branden’s alma mater.

meet the founder
Entrepreneur, Investor, Philanthropist, Recording Artist, Engineer, founder.
Born and raised in Missouri City, TX, Branden Thompson graduated from Prairie View A&M University in 2016 with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering. He began his engineering career at the famed aerospace company Boeing. During his time at Boeing, he felt a strong desire for entrepreneurship and started investing in cryptocurrency. His investing began to grow, and Branden took that leap from the corporate world and became a successful entrepreneur. Branden has given the game of FOREX and mentored thousands of people across the globe on how to multiply money and leverage those profits into smart investments.
Branden Thompson is ranked 52 of the Top 100 Multi-Level Marketing Earners in Network Marketing in 2023. Branden brings a wealth of experience and knowledge, a strong work ethic, a global influence, and a network of influential leaders.
